I won't want to go in depth with the description of the colours because their names say it all. All of the colours are creamy and they are a satin finish. Private Pearl is an exclusive colour, it's a lipstick that acts as a top coat for a three dimensional shine and can be used on top of any Private Lipstick colour of your choice for a unique customised effect. It will make any shade of lipstick one of a kind!

What is interesting about these lipsticks?
They are actually self adjusting lipsticks! How cool is that?! They are ultra luxe lipsticks that adjusts with pH levels to give you the most flattering shade for your skin tone. This means, that these lipsticks will look different on everyone! Amazing! And though they are minis, they actually have a good size! They will last you for a long time.

Milani Baked Powder Blushes

Afternoon everybody.

Today's post is all about blushes! I LOVE blushes! Blushes are my favourite to collect and out of all my make up collection, I have collected blushes the most. But don't get me wrong, I do use them, change them quite often depending on my mood. Something that I will never leave the house without.

So lets start off by looking at the pretty gold packaging..

There are 9 shades altogether (that I know) and I will be showing you 8 of them. The only shade that I did not get was Red Vino. The packaging is a sturdy plastic, it has a clear top which is neat so you can actually see the colours and when you open the top, you will be able to flip the middle part (which is where the blush is placed) and you'll get a small mirror and brush.

01 Dolce Pink

02 Rose D'Oro

03 Berry Amore

05 Luminoso

06 Bellissimo Bronze

08 Corallina

10 Delizioso Pink

11 Bella Rosa

Close up swatches:

L to R: 01 Dolce Pink, 02 Rose D'Oro, 03 Berry Amore, 05 Luminoso

L to R: 06 Bellissimo Bronze, 08 Corallina, 10 Delizioso Pink, 11 Bella Rosa

All of the shades except for Delizioso Pink and Bella Rosa have slight shimmer on the pan but it gives a nice sheen when wearing them. Delizioso Pink and Bella Rosa do not have any sheen or shimmer to them. They are both matte. Pigmentation for these blushes are AMAZING! So so worth the money I feel.

Product Details:
"This silky blush with benefits can be used so many ways. It shapes, it contours, it highlights. Sunbaked on Italian terracotta tiles, it’s buildable from sheer to vibrant. Yes, it adds a cheeky pop of colour to your complexion. Radiance and warmth, too."

Quantity: 0.12oz/3.5g

Price: SGD 14.90

Available at: Bella Quirks (ships to Brunei)

Don't be scared to use the blushes! They make look scary on the pan, believe me, I was too, it was sparkle overload but when you dab your brush in it and applies so smooth and the shimmers do not transfer to your face. You will get a dewy fresh look on your cheeks. You can use some of the shades for highlight too. I know a few who loves Luminoso as a cheek highlight.

My personal favourite? Definitely Berry Amore! It suits well with my NW20 skintone.

Give this blush a try and you'll understand what I mean. Let me know down in the comments below which colours are your favourite. Ciao!

Muji Dupes!

Hey you!

I have made up my mind, for my last post of the day, I would like to talk about organisers instead of make up. So, if you are a neat freak like me, you would love to have all your make up organised and preferably visible so you don't forget to use them.

I would love to have Muji drawers, but you can't get them in Brunei and when you can get your hands on them, they are pretty expensive. So I have found dupes for them, here, in Brunei! Yay me!!

Look at that! Don't they look neat and Muji-like? Lol. I got them for so cheap! So I'll mention the details down below later but what I want to talk about now is that here is where I've put most of my lipsticks and lip glosses and on top, you can see I have my skincare products, tweezers and my everyday brushes. This way, I find myself reaching them more often rather than having them tucked away in my Ikea Alex drawer.

They are NOT drawers, they are actually trays where you can stack them on top of each other thus it gives you the illusion of having a drawer. Hehe! Here you see two different sizes, one which has a shorter height and the other has a medium height. There is one more size  available which has the same height as a MAC brush cleanser's bottle.

So when you want to take any of your lipsticks or lip glosses, you can just lift the top trays and voila! Not as convenient as having a drawer but it is worth the "hassle" for the price. Each tray fits 24 MAC lipsticks (short height). This can also fit MAC eyeshadows but would not fit anything that is more than 2cm tall otherwise it will be difficult for you to stack them. The medium ones can fit paint pots, compact powders but will not fit the Guerlain Meteorites tins.

Product Details:
Price: BND 4 - BND 10 per tray depending on the height
Available at: Any Hua Ho Department Stores at the containers section

So if you like how this looks, which by the way looks gorgeous on my vanity table, you can go check out Hua Ho and see if they have it. But beware, they are always out of stock! But they do restock them quite fast so check them in two weeks time? They'll probably have them by then. So what do you think? You think you like? Lol! Let me know in the comments down below which ones you got! xx

Edited on 18/03/15: I just found my deeper tray that was tucked away for some reason but I now have it to store some of my bigger palettes and now placed nicely on my vanity table.

Stored inside: Urban Decay 15th Anniversary eyeshadow palette, MAC 15 Cool Neutral eyeshadow palette, Z palette, Michelle Phan Night palette, Sigma LE Paris palette and Sigma Bare, Dare and Flare palettes.
8 big palettes can fit in this tray.

Catrice Liquid Metal Eyeshadows

Hi loves!

I am on a roll today! I would probably do another post after this but after doing the Cinderella palette post, I was thinking of doing a post about products that you can actually get in Brunei and as you know, it is pretty difficult and expensive to get makeup here. So what I am going to do from now on, I will try to talk about make up you could actually find and buy. So starting with this, I will talk about Catrice Liquid Metal Eyeshadows.

Catrice Liquid Metal Eyeshadows

Look how pretty they look in the pots! This was my first few Catrice items that I got and I have to say, I am so impressed! With the price, you can't beat it! It has a good pigmentation, they are creamy and butter too. You can wear them wet or dry, according to your personal preference. And I honestly would compare them to the Urban Decay eyeshadows.

They have 9 shades altogether but I only got 5 and I might get the other 4 soon. With or without primer, the staying power is awesome! You get extra 3-4 hours staying power with primer but how many hours are there in a day for you to wear eyeshadows right? Lol. They don't fade easily and coming from someone who has semi-oily lids, that means a lot!

Catrice Liquid Metal Eyeshadows

From L to R:
020 Gold n' Roses: A metallic baby pink colour with silver and gold sparkles
070 Gold Leaf Me: A metallic olive colour with gold sparkles
060 Petrol Pan: In the pan it looks turquoise but it actually is a metallic ocean blue with silver sparkles

090 Nougat It Right: (Personal favourite!) A warm toned metallic brown with gold sparkles
050 We're The Inner Purple: A metallic purple with silver sparkles

All the liquid metal eyeshadows are metallic (doh!) and have sparkles to them. You do get a bit of a fall out when applying but I suggest wearing them wet so the sparkles would stick and you get more pigmentation out of them. I love them so much especially with a price tag like that, you can't pass them up!

Product Details: "Colours with high pigmentation for an extraordinary metallic shine: the silky powder with a chrome effect is reminiscent of liquid metal. Its innovative texture with maximum pigmentation and intense colour-dispersion is sure to make your eyes shine instantly. The unique 3D embossment turns this eyeshadow into an absolute highlight. Nine metallic nuances for every day, every mood, every style."

Price: BND 5 - BND 8 (I don't really remember, sorry!) **If you have the Paloma discount card like I do, you will get a 15% discount on top of this price!

Available at: Paloma Store, The Mall Gadong

Quantity: 3g/0.10oz of product per pan

So what are you waiting for ladies? Head over to Gadong and get your hands on these babies cause they are great whether you are a collector like me and you just want to add them in your collection or you're just starting out with make up. Let me know what shades you got and your thoughts xx

MAC Cinderella Stroke of Midnight Eyeshadow Palette

Hi loves!

I'm back today with an interesting post (at least for me!) and it is the MAC Cinderella Eyeshadow palette.

Cinderella Stroke of Midnight Eyeshadow Palette

First of all, I was a bit skeptical on doing a post on this palette as it is a limited edition palette but given that most of the eyeshadows are from the permanent line, I would go ahead and just do it. Look how pretty the palette is! Packaging is periwinkle with little blue sparkles all over and it also has a gold trimming separating the shadows. I wish it had a Cinderella silhoutte on the plastic cover but it's all good!
Cinderella Stroke of Midnight Eyeshadow Palette

This palette is the only item that I got from the collection. Even though most of the colours are from the permanent line, and I have some of the colours in the pots myself, I really like how MAC has put all of these colours together. They all go well together, each colour compliments one another.

The shades (from L to R):
  • Vapour (Velvet): This colour is described as a peach pink with violet pearl. (Permanent)
  • Phloof! (Frost): This colour is described as a frosted off white. (Permanent)
  • Omega (Matte): This colour is described as a soft muted beige taupe. (Permanent)
  • Quarry (Matte): This colour is described as a  soft muted plum brown. (Permanent)
  • Satin Taupe (Frost): This colour is described as a taupe with silver shimmer. (Permanent)
  • Stroke of Midnight (Velvet): This colour is described as a black plum with sparkle pearl. (Limited Edition)
Product details:
  • 1.2g of each product (and that is a LOT of product!)
  • The price is SGD 80 (inclusive of GST) so it's approximately SGD 13.33 per eye shadow.
Overall, I am surprised with how great the pigmentation is! When MAC comes out with limited edition palettes, the pigmentation of the eyeshadows are usually crappy. (and I know cause I collect them! Lol) But the Simpsons palettes are great as well. So good job MAC! I am happy with my purchase but it is not something that is a must have. If you like, you can get 5 out of the 6 eyeshadows individually. But if you don't have any MAC eyeshadows then this palette is a good buy. Since it is a limited edition palette, I am unsure if you are able to get your hands on them. So hopefully, it is still available in stores.

So that is it for this post. I hope this was helpful for you guys! Until then.

Toodles!

KORRES Lip Butter

Hi loves!

My first post in a very long time! I'm scared that I've lost my touch in blogging lol. I wanted to break the ice by doing a review on a product that actually helps me a lot during my pregnancy. I've been so dehydrated these past few months and I think it's due to the pregnancy, and my lips get so dry that it literally bust open every single time I sneeze or cough (I swear!). Applied my Burt's Bees and EOS balms but they didn't work. I've put on vaseline, but again, with the pregnancy, when I hate something, I will really hate it now, and I despise the feeling of Vaseline on my lips.

So one day, I came across a youtube guru talking about how much she loves the KORRES lip butters. And I immediately went on Luxola and got myself one in Guava. So without further ado, here is my review on the KORRES lip butter.

KORRES Lip Butter in Guava

KORRES Lip Butter in Guava

It claims as: "A buttery lip balm that melts on the lips and offers a shiny, tinted finish. The combination of Shea Butter and Rice wax offers deep hydration and softness. Ideal for chapped lips."

Ingredients: Polybutene, Trimethylolpropane Triisostearate, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Hydroxystearic Acid, Polyethylene, Stearalkonium Hectorite, Propylene Carbonate, Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate, Sucrose Tetrastearate Triacetate, Tocopherol, Dicalcium Phosphate, Aroma (Flavor), Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Oryza Sativa Cera (Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Wax), Psidium Guajava Fruit Extract, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) Extract, Limonene, Citral, Ci 77891 (Titanium Dioxide).

Quantity: 6.00g / 0.21Oz

Price: SGD 20

Available at: Luxola (ships to Brunei)

I think the packaging is super adorable! It's compact and light, and it has a clean simple design too. These lip butters are available in different scents but I chose Guava because I wanted a lip butter that would come out clear as I'll only be using it during night time to sleep. But what I have heard, the other scents would have tints to it so it depends on which ones you choose.

This really does the job! Chapped bleeding lips no more after ONE night (yes I am serious) of application. When I woke up the next day, my lips were moisturised, soft and supple so it was nice to be able to wear lip stains prettily. Since then, I have been using this religiously. I still use my EOS in the mornings before I do my whole face for work but at night, when the make up is off and I'm done with my night skincare regime, I apply this and my lips never looked/felt better!

It is pricy, but it is called a lip butter so somehow I feel that the consistency is a bit thicker than your ordinary lip balm but not sticky, which is a plus!

So if you have dry chapped lips and you don't mine splurging a little, try this! It is worth my 20 bucks!
